Good Job!

We want to go on written record with (customer name blocked) concerning an RLD auditor; namely, Christopher Freeland. In these busy times when a comment is made concerning any personnel whether agency, company or outside person, the comments are too often negative. It seems people have time for that but don’t take the time when something goes right. Apparently, Mr. Freeland is doing things right!! I can’t remember any comments good or bad on any other RLD auditors however, I have received several ‘glowing’ remarks about Mr. Freeland. I personally worked with him on a problem...
Expect the Unexpected

After working in county government for over fifteen (15) years, I purposed within myself that I was not going to "settle" for just any job. I like to believe that with age, comes wisdom and it was important to me to be happy in my job. I had been working for RLD Associates for over a year and everyday solidifies my decision to accept the position of Field Auditor. I've learned that with this job to "Expect the Unexpected" In most cases, this term applies to the insured and not on arriving at the insured's location but for me, this was not the case on October 30th. I had to finish...
A Visit to North Carolina

Just recently I was fortunate enough to go on deployment to NC. I live in PA currently, so the lifestyle is a little bit different, not to say anything negative about either location. In traveling the eastern half of NC, I was able to see parts of the piedmont, and parts of the coast. Unfortunately I missed out on the mountains this time around. Every bit of it was beautiful right down to the landscaped highway medians which were decorated with large red flowers. You will have to forgive me on the variety as I can't tell the difference between a weed and a flower in my own yard. The people in the...
Car Breakdown

The day in question started like any other. I decided to drive my Honda Civic and give my Subaru a break for the day. I had a few audits in Waynesburg, PA and then had to go to rural Fairmont, WV to meet an insured that could only meet that afternoon. Waynesburg is about an hour north of my house and Fairmont is about 30 minutes south of my house. I left my that morning, did the two audits in Waynesburg and then headed back south to Fairmont. I decided to stop at Wendy's in Fairmont for lunch. Thus far, the Civic was doing fine, no indication of the storm that was brewing under the hood. After...
Vehicular Auditing Misadventures

Being an auditor for RLD Associates, it is imperative to have reliable transportation. One would think that a person with a relatively new car, and a mechanic for a husband would have no problem with getting from point “A” to point “B”. However, I still seem to manage to somehow get into some crazy car related situation. I've been with the company for almost a year, and have already had two strange mishaps that have been the result of what I call bad “car luck”. I drive a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse, that I bought when it was brand new. It had 11 miles on it when...
Crazy animals and cream colored/white dockers...

I have a pair of Dockers dress pants that are cream colored, almost white actually. Every time I wear them they seem to attract a new stain. On this day, the stains were completely out of my control. It was a 5 audit day. The first three audits went fine. The last two did not go so well. Audit 4 was at the home of an insured. I arrive and there was a one year old well tempered chocolate lab at the house. I pet the dog, he played for a moment and then as expected, he and I went our separate ways. As I finished the audit, I realized payroll did not verify with the quarterlies. The insured went into...
